About

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized as a leader in pediatric cancer research. The hospital, which was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas in 1962, has treated children from all 50 states, including from throughout Texas, and from around the world. Located in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude is the first institution established for the sole purpose of conducting basic and clinical research into catastrophic childhood diseases, mainly cancer. It treats children without regard to race, religion, creed and ability to pay at no cost to the family. St. Jude conducts cutting-edge research that is freely shared with the global medical community so that together, we can help find cures and save children in communities everywhere.
